This Privacy Policy for our Site includes the following information:

Information We Collect via The Site

When you visit this Site, we may collect information through cookies, unique numbers, or other identifiers from your browser, application, or device. A "cookie" is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows that website to recognize your browser. Cookies may store visitor preferences and other information. Browsers are typically set to create cookies automatically. You can choose to have your browser notify you when cookies are being written to your computer or accessed, or you can disable cookies entirely. However, some website features may not function properly without cookies. We also collect any information you provide to us directly by using the contact link below. We use Google Analytics to collect web traffic statistics about this Site.

You may limit the information we collect about you by restricting what personal information you disclose when you contact us or by disabling cookies on your computer.

How We May Use This Information

We may use the information that we collect via this Site for our business purposes, such as maintaining our Site or developing products and services.

We do not share information collected via the Site unless one of the following circumstances applies:

  • With your consent. We may share your information after obtaining your consent.
  • For legal reasons. We may share information with unaffiliated third parties to:
  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, or enforceable governmental request or investigation.
  • Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
  • Protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Verily or the public, as required or permitted by law.

For external processing. We may provide personal information to trusted businesses or service providers to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with appropriate privacy and security measures.

Non-personally identifiable information. We may share non-personally identifiable information, such as web traffic statistics, publicly and with our partners.

Information Security

We work hard to prevent unauthorized accessing, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of the information we hold. We have many data security safeguards in place, and we regularly review our security practices to proactively guard against unauthorized access.

Cross-Border Transfer of Information

We may process the information collected via this Site on a server located outside the country where you live. However, we will handle your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where your personal information is stored or processed.

Compliance and Cooperation with Regulatory Authorities

We regularly review our compliance with this Privacy Policy.
We also adhere to several self-regulatory frameworks, including the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow-up. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.

As described in our Privacy Shield certification, we comply with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland, respectively. Google Inc., inclusive of its wholly-owned US subsidiaries such as Verily, has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. We shall remain responsible for any of your information that is shared under the Onward Transfer Principle with third parties for external processing on our behalf, as described under the caption “How We May Share This Information.” To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view Google’s certification, please visit the Privacy Shield website.

If you have an inquiry regarding our privacy practices in relation to our Privacy Shield certification, we encourage you to contact us using the method below under the caption “Contact Us.” Google and Verily are subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). You may also file a complaint free of charge with your local data protection authority and we will work with them to resolve your complaint. In certain circumstances, the Privacy Shield Framework provides the right to invoke binding arbitration to resolve complaints not resolved by other means, as described in Annex I to the Privacy Shield Principles.

Do Not Track Signals

Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that visitors can set in their web browsers. When a visitor turns on DNT, the browser sends a message to websites requesting that they don’t track the visitor. At this time, we do not respond to these signals. We do not change our practices, described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, in response to DNT browser settings or signals.

We aim to provide you with access to your information gathered through this website. In some circumstances you may have the right to review your personal information, or request that it be updated or deleted, by contacting us using the method below under the caption “Contact Us.” However, we may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, unduly burdensome, risk the privacy of others, or would be very impractical to honor.

To the extent applicable, where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to protect information gathered through this website from accidental or malicious destruction.
